HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
No time to wax on nostalgic about the new year, and the old decade of insanities. It has been rough, but hey. Let us put on funny hats and have an excuse to act like total idiots for a bit eh?

Passwords
There has to be a better way to manage all these passwords. I feel like a janitor with the big key ring. Somehow, only the janitor feels all powerful with the master supreme access of the mega-keyring.
I want to be the principal. The guy in the office, in charge, with enough time for actual hobbies other than trying to wrangle all the passwords.
I tried a few crazy encrypted computer programs, some various paper solutions... None were truly secure, yet truly satisfactory. I would commit all of them to memory, but that's not easy either, as they are all meaningless strings of characters, and they change regularly. Perhaps an incredible memory feat is at hand.
But that too seems like, well, carrying around the key ring.

Beavers and wood.
http://dsc.discovery.com/news/2009/10/23/beavers-wood.html
There's something wrong here. ... or maybe not.
I was way to serious to make childish jokes like that when I was actually a child. Kinda makes me laugh though, in a kind of weiner joke sort of way.

Sitting in the dark
From my diary:
Sitting in the dark as the stars and the milky universe swirl about the conifers.
Strange time the other night, I was sitting on a bench, surrounded by clumps of black night, surrounded by red wooden cabins, and a dozen small kids were playing basketball with a dad in a pool of golden light. It was beautiful.
Really interesting.
Megan and her cousin sat next to me so I wouldn't have to be sitting there all alone. They are really nice, but might not understand what it is to be really happy all by yourself. On top of that, I was surrounded by stars. Right in the middle of a swarm of them. You could see the milky way. This is the second time. Hello there, milky way. My goodness, you're still beautiful like the last time. Maybe I shouldn't be surprised.
